I just got 16 emails from idnet accounts team. I'm assuming it was because I've never had an emailed invoice before and they've just realised, so sent me them all ;D
And there was me hoping you were going to be paying my bill!
I don't even want to pay mine, so you've got no chance :D
Check the dates, Niall.
I have done, and they go back to april, and include the standard internet bill, the spam filtering and one or two excess bandwidth charges (apparently I have gone over the limit in the past after all!).
Don't make me panic like that Rik, I thought you knew something I didn't! :D
Out of curiosity, is it worth having spam filtering on? Exactly how much comes through if it's off? If it's a lot then I'll leave it on, but as I only use my idnet email account for idnet correspondence, it seems like a bit of a waste.

I don't use it myself.

If you're not getting any spam, there's not really any point in having it on. At the same time, there's little harm in turning it on.
That's the trouble isn't it? It's like the episode of the simpsons when Lisa was saying to Homer that "that's like saying this rock keeps bears away" - Homer: "I will give you $20 for that rock" ;D
If the spam filter is working, I won't get any spam, which I'm not, but if there is no spam I won't get any spam! Either way I won't know :D
I get no spam on my account :)
I've requested it be turned off on mine now, so I'll soon see if I need the magic rock or not :D
If you do get spam, I'm surv there are some free programs which can help.
I want some spam. Got home from work and there's nothing left in the fridge. I logged on to my email hoping to find something to eat, but nada :(
;D
You should move in here, Steve, I never allow that situation to occur. ;)

I've got that many types of spam email on my junk list from my website that I just cancelled, that only about 3 or 4 get to the mail box normally, so it won't be an issue if I do start to get any. I was just curious as I never got any on my old nildram account as I didn't use it for anything other than sending myself things from work. If I've not signed up to anything, in theory nothing should come through, with the exception of the random emails that get aimed as ISPs.

He needs a backup freezer. ;D
I bought one. Now I need a larger one - the parallels with computing are inescapable. ;D
Do you not need a back up for you backups? What use is a backup freezer if that too is full!
I then rely on the neighbours having space, Lance, ie off-site storage. ;D
