I get emails from PC PRO as any good nerd should :P
The ones I've received today, to two separate email accounts on different machines (this doesn't matter but people are obsessed with details :D) and when you click on the mail it wants to log in to a secure server at cms.pcpro.denint.co.uk at DI Preview server.
I think they did something wrong :P
I didn't notice, Niall. I tend to scan them and bin them in the main.
But you have to have them so you can see the latest A list, and wonder who paid them for some of the bad reviews :D
I gave up on PC-Pro when it was still busy championing Evesham. :)
Eve-who? ;D

To be fair, they had some decent PCs. I think my last laptop was from them.

They did, and I had several machines from them, but towards then end their service was rubbish.

Ah yes, I remember them being torn to bits in the online world regarding that. Didn't Time buy them out, then welch on the contracts?
Yup.
It's all coming flooding back now :D
I remember that the laptop I had, did have such a warranty but it expired 3 months before all that happened. Ironically I gave the laptop to my dad when I upgraded. Somehow the PSU on it popped after he had it for about 3 months and fried it. I never had a single issue with it, so I can't help wondering what the hell he did :D
The laptop I had from them went through three motherboards and two batteries within the warranty period, though they considered the batteries a consumable so didn't cover them. I've never had a battery problem with a machine since and remain convinced that the failures were related to the mobo issues.
Evesham ? I think I nearly bought one from Woolies but decided against it
I never realised that PC Pro was a nerd's magazine. ;D
Well it isn't really, but it is when you use it to compare against other information :D
