I am trying my nephews Dray Tek for a couple of days. Not sure if my stats are any good or not ? My sync seems to be lower but thats as much as I can make out.

Well, you have better stats than me, Bill, but that's not difficult. :)
Sync speed of 5024 should get you a 4000 profile, you've got 8.5db of margin, which suggests that your target margin has been set at 9db to improve stability. The attenuation is 10db better than mine and indicates you're about 4.5km from the exchange.
Thanks for that. I was getting better results from the Belkin. A friend of mine is looking at buying one of these. Any opions on weather its a good make or not ? D-Link DSL-2740b Draft N Wireless
I've used a few D-Links, Bill, and they seem to be OK. Personally, though, I'd be wary of pre-N and draft-N models, quite often they seem to have incompatibilities with other people's hardware, at least in my experience.
Well I am now trying my mates D Link. IMO its the best router going. It suits my line and is very easy to set up. The level of detail is great and you can have it set up in a few moments or you can spend a while setting up all the advanced settings.

Just a very quick verdict but it gets by vote. :)
It goes to prove my theory that, since Max, there is no longer a single router that can be cited as good or best, Bill. Before Max, I would have recommended Draytek, but I found it just wasn't up to my line, and the humble Netgear did best. If you do get a chance to experiment, as you have, you can often make startling improvements.
I'm glad you've found the right router for your particular conditions. :)
