It's very shiny, can you use it to make and receive phone calls?  :P

I think that they are becoming mobile computers first, with a phone function second now.

Nokia have become bug ridden recently, the N97 was a flop both hardware and software a shame as it had all the right ideas, if the N900 has a capacitive screen then it would be great but Nokia always cut corners somewhere these days. I would go for a netbook and a phone rather than have that myself, to much convergence of devices causes to things go wrong, have to wait and see what the reviews are like. But it does look good, if a little brick like which puts me off and no sign of that keypad tilting either  :-\ could be wrong though, and its so thick you use it to hold open doors

Edit: its a resistive screen, so thats a no for me, they damage easily and are not as sensitive generally as capacitive and mostly don't allow multitouch, having owned two resistive touch screen phones I would not go back.

I've got something similar, the O2 Exec, came out a couple of years ago a touch expensive even then, but I found it very fiddly to use because of it's small size. Personally I would rather go for a net-book and standard phone, if I needed that level of functionality.

I agree, Bob, but then I don't often need that sort of functionality. I might change my mind if I did, but I suspect I'd go down the netbook/dongle route even then.
