I have no experience in browsers or what may cause them to crash but Firefox has crashed I think its four times in just a few days,I take it there is nothing I can do about it...except change browsers anyone else suffering (if thats the right word) with this ?
No, David. First thing to do is disable any addons you have and see if that cures the problem. If it does, re-enable them one at a time until it breaks again.
:thnks: Rik will try it :thumb:
David, see my posting on Chrome as it seems to be one hell of a step up from Firefox. ;D
where is it Den ? ???
 Next post to this David, just look one down under Google Chrome :hehe:

Den actually means the next thread down the index, David, here (http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=16316.0). :)
Thanks Simon :hehe: Thanks den will take a look at that later I dont have any add ons with FF not that I am aware of but it crashed again last night so may change.......will have the pain of the bookmarks though
Your bookmarks will just transfer across and change over is painless David. Since I changed to Chrome I have only used Firefox and indeed IE8 as a comparson. ;D
:thumb: Thanks den will do it now before getting back to work

Ooh I like this Den all bookmarks over with no problems and I love the layout :karma:
The crashing thing is a part of what I'm seeing at the moment. While I haven't crashed, it's only because of the amount of ram I have. Memory use increases to the point where there isn't any more available and you'll see a crash. I've got 4gb ram and the most I've seen Firefox using is just over 1gb before I ended it.
There seems to be a lot of people complaining about it, but no one seems to be replying from Mozilla. Well, no posts I've found are anyway. I'm certain it's the last patch that's done it, as I had no issues previously.
Odd how it goes, no crashes here and Firefox never gets above 78mb :dunno: maybe its to do with what security is run with it,
I don't think it's that as I'm using different anti virus and security on the main PC and the Laptop.
