Title: I Wish I Lived In a City Sometimes!
Post by: MO on Sep 20, 2009, 12:16:33
I am a very happy IDNet customer of some 3+ years , but live out in the sticks and can only get 1.3 down, 0.4 up :(. I'm down in Central London this weekend and using the hotel WiFi connection at lightening speeds. Jeez I wish I could get these speeds all the time!

It would certainly be nice to have speeds like that all the time! Unfortunately, for most of us, it's just not going to be possible until fibre arrives.

And then, no doubt, not possible due to the way BT will implement it!

Yep. I can't imagine they'll ever have enough capacity either!

That's the problem, isn't it. BT have a track record for delivering the headline speed but not matching it with backhaul - how many times do we see congested VPs even now?

All the time, plus many others where BT haven't admitted congested VPs.

Or anything, for that matter...
