It looks as though the Beeb are doing a programme on broadband (http://www.ispreview.co.uk/talk/showthread.php?t=29522) and slow speeds.
Anyone who wants to have a moan feel free. I'm guessing the programme will be a whitewash as there's very few people on the consumer side at the Beeb who have a clue.
That should be fun. I bet they don't ask any intelligent questions. ;D
I wonder what their criteria will be for slow speeds. Virtually all internet packages are now advertised (even if it's only in the small print) as 'up to XXmb/s which means if you can connect you are to all intents and purposes getting what was advertised. It might perhaps be more interesting to investigate why there are no minimum standards set by ISPs which would in turn expose the sorry state of BT and its rather lackluster networking infrastructure. I suspect however it will turn out to be more of a rant against ISPs.
I suspect you're right, Zap, to judge by the Beeb's record on this kind of story.
Do IDNet still supply BB to the beeb?
I don't know, Glenn.

This is not her fault, it is the ISPs. The previous service provider managed to deliver around 2.5 to 3.5Mbps but on the same line with the same kit the new one appears incapable of getting even close to that. Naturally, despite the line and router stats being about as good as you can get, the ISP prefers to blame everybody else except themselves.
think it could be a good program to laugh every time its inacurate
