New one to me, David, what were you trying to access at the time?
I was acessing the forum thats all I wonder if this is a BT thing normally I would get page not displayed ,but unplugged and back on I came.It did slow down and page timed out.I am wondering if along with the BT test this is something new :dunno: at the exchange that is
I tried accessing the IP address directly, and got the same page, so I wonder if something happened to your DNS and it resolved wrongly. Best ask A&A, David.
:bawl: not again I'm still in medication from the last time

Wonder if this is the issue ?
It sounds a bit like the problem IDNet had with IPv6.
Ah well its ok now but posted just in case anyone else gets that as its a new one on me :dunno:
Some people just can't take a hint :out: ;D
 :rofl2: thank god for that I thought I was paranoid ;D

I've seen that before. When I was with Nildram and they basically ran out of bandwidth and were sharing pipes with Newnet, when you logged into Nildram you'd see that page (or similar) or get a really bad connection. You'd then have to switch to the Newnet login.
Thanks, Niall. :thumb:
I had this error page a couple of times recently with IDNet.
It always happened when I was surfing, and the downstream seemed to get stuck. I assumed it was BT working on the line. ::)
After rebooting I was still disconnected from IDNet but synced o.k. with exchange. :dunno:
Possibly a stale session. BT do seem to be doing a lot of unannounced engineering work - often creating problems in the process.
I'm shocked to learn this ;)
As are we all...
Just got back online got that page again but there has been a major outage for me went down at 12.10 and just reconnected.....BT dont you just love em :eyebrow:
Anything from A&A, David?

All well now
So an A&A issue made worse by the interface with BT. :( I know from IDNet that some BT circuits just don't recognise the disconnection, leading to a stale session problem. That's why we often give the advice to power down the router for up to 15 minutes.
Thats what I did,it hasnt affected my speed though ;D
Small mercies, David. :)
You looked again didnt you ;D
I couldn't help it. ;D
  How long were you in the navy ?
Many years, then I decided that black suited me better.
With the pink crevat of course ;D
I used to wear cravats, but now I just wear a beard, it does the same job and never has to be re-tied. ;D
I wore one as well paisly it was and god only knows what I was thinking wearing this.
Also a Dr Kildare/Monkees pink shirt ;D
For some reason, I've never gone for pink, or any pastel shades. I like a full-bodied, deep-dyed, colour. Preferably black. ;D
I think I was ahead of my time......I had posters of Quiten Chrisp on my walls ;D
I just had posters of Golden Wonder. ;D
Now it's printouts of DR web pages. ;D
Printouts! I've got the original models hanging around the room. ;D
I still have Quintin ;)

Cant be any fairer than this can you ?again it highlight BTs failure and what it is doing to smaller isps :shake:
Doesn't it just, David. Curiously, since the last MK node outage, my pings have improved by 4ms, as reported by the router and in tests. Which suggests to me that BT hadn't built a circuit correctly in the first place.
Seems BT have again got problems in parts of London according to Idnet Status Page (https://www.idnet.net/support/status.jsp). :(
Edit: Link fixed
They really are making a hash of things atm, Ray. :shake:
Aren't they just, Rik, there ought to be some heads rolling eventually. :shake:
Why wait, let's start now. ;D

Ok, Rik, who's going to wield the axe. ;D
I would imagine that many ISPs would be queuing up for the chance, Ray. :)
Indeed. :)
