Anyone know of a effective free program?
Preferably on ubuntu as most free windows programs look suspicious to me :)
cheers
Sorry, not sure what you're looking for, Sam. :dunno:
I have about 4 versions of the same song in my library basically, need something to show all 4 versions with info and perhaps a preview
I keep meaning to write one in Perl Sam. If I ever get around to it I'll send you a copy if you have Perl loaded. Perl scripts should run on both Windows and Linux machines and there are quiite a few mp3 perl modules (http://search.cpan.org/search?query=mp3&mode=all) that should prove useful.
ok cool - no rush :)
I know there's a script for iTunes on the Mac that can do it, but you're neither using a Mac or iTunes. :D
In iTunes go to Menu>File>Show Duplicates
This can be very useful its on the Mac iTunes version and I'm sure its's the same in Windows.
It is. :thumb:
