Title: page loading

is anyone else having problems where pages will take for ever to load and end up bashing the enter key and F5 into ablivion as its really starting to annoy me.

everything fine here. try clearing your browser cache etc.

if that doesnt work trying flushing your dns.

windows key + r, type "cmd" without the quotes, press enter.  type "ipconfig /flushdns" without the quotes. press enter.

Try OpenDNS just to rule it being DNS out.

Yes, me too. Has been getting worse all evening. As always, whenever I have a problem I can pretty much guarantee that a quick visit to this forum will show someone else is suffering the same.

Throughput remains good at 6mbps, but pings all over the place and page look-up problems getting worse.

Can either of you supply any more information on the problems you were experiencing? For example, what sites were you trying, did you run tracerts or pings, try a BT speed test.

As it stands, no-one can begin to diagnose the problem, which clearly wasn't widespread, so may indicate either exchange congestion or routing issues. IDNet's graphs show no problems on the network last night, nor have they had any incident reports from BT.

since i know its not wide spread rik just means either virus or LAN issue would give more details but ive just finnished work and have to drive to Luton
