Title: Could this be BT's dimensioning
Post by: coreservers on Aug 16, 2009, 09:46:14
is dimensioning even a word?, any hoo. my sync rate has upped to
Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
    Your DSL connection rate: 7968 kbps(DOWN-STREAM),  888 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 4000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 3725 kbps

SNR has dropped to 12.1

I'm presuming the ip profile and thruoghput will follow.  I did have to use disconnect\reconnect this morning. but thought I'd see if BT were actually doing some good

Given we have no idea what BT actually mean, we can only hope that they are fixing it...

checked when the router lights went out
no crosstalk, checked 17070 no noise on line

Still stuck way below 2mb now, seems since BT did or didny do whatever they were or werent going to do it's has raised my IP profile to 5500, but dropped my thruoghput. starting to wish I'd never moved now. I cannot game, I can barely download faster than 34kbs. All I heasr is IDnet are working on this, they are monitoring your case. but in reality not a thing changes (except my ipprofile, what good is that with such cr*p thruoghput)

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
    Your DSL connection rate: 6390 kbps(DOWN-STREAM),  760 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 5500 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 2036 kbps

6390 kbps 760 kbps
Line Attenuation 40.5 db 19.0 db
Noise Margin 13.2 db 7.5 db

seriously fed up with this now
