Post by: TheMonkey on Jul 13, 2009, 21:59:37
Hi,

I have my wife hooked up to my netgear router via a netgear wireless hub.

Its not secure and i would like to make it so.

Can anyone point me to some instructions?

thanks

Unless i'm missing something obvious go to http://192.168.0.1/start.htm then midway down you will see your security options, select whats best
i.e either
WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key)
WPA2-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 with Pre-Shared Key)

add a pass phrase (password) then when the wife attempts to join the network it will ask for the pass, add it and away you go
