Title: Routers, routers, routers
Post by: coreservers on Jul 13, 2009, 13:15:17
Well as of Wednesday i'm an IDnetter. I have two routers at home. a sky one (netgear), which I think will be a swine to unlock, and a Huawei HG520b. whick I think is do-able it's adsl2+ compatable.

Which would be the preferable one to use?

I've no experience of either, but I think the netgear would be relatively easy to unlock with the right firmware.  :)

http://www.vpncasestudy.com/reset.html There are netgear firmware recovery instructions in the posted link and download files. If you have the DG834GT I would try to avoid the latest firmware use instead 1.02.16

OTOH, you have a significant chance of being connected to a Huawei MSAN...

Nice one. By the way, the Sky DG934G is just a DG834Gv3.
