Title: Question about Interleave
Post by: Rapier Racer on Jul 04, 2009, 16:28:26
Well basically I'm wondering once this turns itself on will it ever automatically switch off if the line becomes stable again or is a phone call to the ISP needed to get it off? Whats the charge for such a request if it can be done?

I believe that you need to contact support to get interleaving removed from your line, but it is free and takes up to 24 hours to be done.

Glenn is quite correct. However, sometimes (rare) for some reason BT switch it on or off without being requested to :dunno: It is not an 'automatic' action. ;)

Generally BT will switch it on automatically, but not off.

Thanks guys, I'll contact support soon, my online gaming does not appreciate the extra latency.

I ask because I notice the noise margin has dropped from the 14.9 they put it to down to 11.8 and I've got a higher sync as a result.

It's possible that the target SNRM has reduced from 15dB to 12dB.
