Yep, it's only been out a couple of days, and already, The Register are reporting that 3.5.1 will be out soon to "squash bugs its development team hadn't managed to eradicate ahead of the launch."

Mozilla should have just waited a few extra days or however long it takes, it does not look good patching so soon, saying that 3.5 runs well here.
Browsers, Operating Systems and phones. Why can't they wait till they're ready before launching them? Surely it would look better to have a product that's good from the outset?
Now, if that was MS with IE8 you would all jumping on their backs by now :whistle: >:D

Well Microsoft has vulnerabilitys going back years that have not been patched in IE6 so we have given up on them >:D also at least Mozilla admit theirs :whistle:

I agree, but it had been delayed by at least 6 months already, so they probably decided that the bugs weren't critical enough to hold off release.

I did, at work, until about 2 weeks ago. :blush:
WHY IE7 was much better and IE8 is better again. I have been running IE8 and Firefox side by side and still prefer IE up to now. ;D

Because our time sheet system is web-based, and until recently, it was incompatible with anything newer than IE6. Of course, if IE complied with web standards, stupid problems like that wouldn't exist. ;)
All browesrs are weak links, its the nature of the beast, the IE6 vulnerabilities were while that was the only IE browser available, at least with Firefox it opened up the door for competition so now we have a choice of more than one, its a win win situation, but Firefox do seem to patch the fastest.Chrome is fast and basic, which is good. Safari 4 is very fast and looks great in the feature set, Opera now has a web browser server, innovation is all around so we can pick what suits us the best and pretty much FF kicked this of and also made MS tighten the security belt a hell of a lot. :)
We still use ie6 at work as well for compatibility reasons.

Thankfully the new version of our timesheet system is compatible with IE7, so I was able to get it installed. :)

I'm forced to in work. It's a shockingly bad browser.
I've been using this browser http://www.srware.net/software_srware_iron.php since someone on here mentioned it, sorry I can't remember who :dunno: but thanks. :thumb:
It's seems faster than FF, but there is a slight learning curve due to it being different, but on the whole I like it. :thumb:

They do Rik, and they are a mega time killer. I've got to the stage now that I need a computer, not just I would like one. :eek4:
I know what you mean, Mick. Net access is the same - it's a necessity these days.
