Title: Connection problems
Post by: jodybhoy on Jun 28, 2009, 18:55:39
Hi there,

Not posted for ages due to being very happy with idnet....until now.

My connection is now constantly dropping which is making me now consider going elsewhere after 2 years.

Just posting to see if anyone could through some advice my way.

Thanks
J

Jodybhoy,

If you have an NTE5 try removing the faceplate and connecting the router directly to the test socket, and if possible monitor it for 24hrs, this will remove all internal wiring you may have. What are your router stats like?

Hold your horses, J. ;D

When you say you're losing connection, is that sync or PPP? I suspect the former, which suggests a line problem in some way, and not IDNet.

Could you let us know a bit about your setup, and also the stats from your router would be handy.

A result from a BT speedtest would be good as well.
