Hi
It looks as if my trusty old BT 2700 has given up the ghost, red light on power, if and when it does go green after a reset will not hold light on wireless and unable to connect to the the internet.
Started by getting disconnections on Monday finally gave yesterday morning.
Any recommendations as to what I should get as a replacement as ADSL 2 & 2+ is on it's way, currently using a Netgear D834PN Mimo.
Any recommendations will have to bear in mind I am on a long line hence fixed speed line 2MB
Many thanks in anticipation of your answers
Regards
RogerP
There is nothing cheaper than a 2700HGV from Ebay :thumb:
2700 seems to work just fine with WBC
Failing that, the netgears seem most conpatible with the varying msans.
I'd heartily recommend the Netgear DG834G V4 if you can get one.
Roger, iirc, a few have found this is caused by a bad PSU, which can be had for about £5.
I wondered that to, Seb. DigiDave is your man, Roger.

No problem. :)
Hi Everyone
Well it appeared that my trusty 2700 hadn't packed up, but listening to Sebby & co on this forum I ordered a new power supply as they suggested.
It turned out to be correct but un-be knowing to me my router had also been updated to Ver 6 firmware so have had to re configure all over again.
Everything seems to be running OK again now back on old router with a new power supply, quite shocked when I saw V6 as interface is different.
Thanks again for everyone's help and suggestions much appreciated
Good job we have this forum
regards
Rogerp
Glad it's sorted, Roger. :thumb:
Yes, glad V6 seems to be working - there's hope for us all! :thumb:
I thought they'd stopped upgrading to v6, obviously starting again. ???
Is the new firmware 6.1.1.48-enh.tm?

The new version is 6.1.1.48
.1-enh.tm and the upgrades restarted on 23rd June, we did issue a warning (http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=12429.msg347735#msg347735)

I missed that, thanks. Presumably they'll get round to upgrading mine which is 6.1.1.48-enh.tm, factory installed. Should be interesting. ;)

No reports as yet of any existing V6s getting updated, but it will undoubtedly happen
