Did anybody else just experience 4 or 5 losses of sync in the last 5-10 minutes? My router dropped the connection for no apparent reason, resynced almost immediately but then dropped the connection four more times before finally coming back. I think it's an exchange issue more than IDNet (possibly 21CN work maybe)?
Anybody else experience this?
No problems here, Tom.
Think I spoke too soon :(. Just lost sync again so powered down the router so my target SNR doesn't get affected. On my phone now!
Loss of sync is going to be a local issue, Tom. It's possible that it's down to exchange work, but more likely is that your line suffered from a burst of noise for some reason. This could have happen inside or outside of your property.
What's your setup like? Have you removed ring wires, for example?
Any BT vans in the vicinity?

Hi Sebby,
I've done as much as can physically be done in removing noise and interference from my line, especially this last week or so. I've got a Netgear DG834Gv4 connected to an ADSL Nation filtered faceplate at the master socket. The ring wires have all been disconnected, and I typically sync at ~7100kbps downstream, despite an attenuation of 47dB!
SNR has been steady throughout the day according to routerstats, and the error count has also been low (my line is also interleaved), which is why I think the loss of sync was probably exchange-related. I've just rebooted the router again and things seem ok now ???.
I'll put it down to BT and their usual antics ::)

Can't see any Simon, but the nearest cabinet is a few streets away from me so who knows!

Yep, given what you've done, it sounds like just one of those things. If it continues, do post back. :)
