Hi all. Got an e-mail from IDNet confirming that my ADSL2 line is now active and it has info about a primary dns and secondary dns. How do I change it to the new ones?
I went into my Router but couldn't find anything. Where should I be looking?
It works fine but i'm assuming I have to change it from whatever it was.
Many thanks
What router are you using?
You don't need to do anything, your router is almost certainly set to pick up the information automatically, as is the recommendation from IDNet. We know it's working OK as you got here. :) In fact, nothing has changed except the speed and method of your connection, everything else, eg DNS, email, login details, accounts page are the same (though the data counter on the latter will have changed to zero).
Ah yes I just found it and your right, it obtains the DNS info automatically. =)
Well i'm up from 3.8mb to 6.4mb which i'm happy about =) Can't complain at all!
I can, I hardly gained anything (but didn't really expect to). :)

Nice! :thumb:
Oh well, at least someone's happy today! :)
There's always one! :)
We should have him stuffed! ;D
I was reasonably happy yesterday. Let's see if he's still happy tomorrow. That's the acid test ;)
;D
Nevermind guys, althought connecting at 6mb+, it's slower than my older connection. I still have to pause the youtube videos to watch them =/
I've just read the ADSL2+ is slow thread so I can see what's happened. Hopefully it won't last long. I wish I worked for BT just so I can see why on earth all this happening.
Well, off to bed. Night!
