Title: Different routers
Post by: glen on Jun 14, 2009, 23:15:40
Just out of curiosity does anyone know why idnet prefer to use netgear routers. I use a dg384g v3, but also have a billion 5200g r4.
Would it be just a matter of preference or would it be to do with certain chipsets ? Just curious. :thumb:

I would guess it's to do with price, compatibility, and ease of use.  They don't have any special affiliation with Netgear, as far as I know.

As Simon says, it's a mixture of a few things. Certainly the v4 they sell has a good chipset, the interface is pretty good, and they're quite stable.
