We run something called phpSysInfo, Paul. Would that meet your needs?

Nagios (http://www.nagios.org/) is a very popular and well supported monitoring tool that works with Windows and Linux flavour servers.

It is free, Open Source Software and as you would expect comes with a wide range of Add-ons created by the Nagios Community.

You probably want the Brainy PDM (http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/image/86) Performance Data Management Addon, but there are plenty to choose from.
