any one who uses Foxit could you just try this for me please.
I have just checked for upgrades and chose some to install one of them was for the main prog itself I think, when I now try to go to check which version I am on, Help/About Foxit Reader it stalls for ages and shows nothing, I see a very quick flash of something but cant make out what it is.
The title bar says im using V3.0 which I was before the update so was wondering how much more is added 3.0.****** or whatever
thanks
Mine has 3.0 build 1506 :)
I have v3.0, build 1506, Baz. I don't get a stall on doing a Help > About.
Nearly, Lance. :)
thanks . must be my machine then :dunno:
Uninstall and re-install, Baz?
done that Rik. re-boot did a fresh download too and still same after that
Might be worth looking in the registry for any remnants...
Edit - just twigged!
Yippee!! ;D :karma:

where abouts Rik and what am I looking for
I would uninstall it and then in regedit do 'edit > find' for foxit. :)
What Lance said, Baz. :)
is it safe to delet any foxit finds in the registry
Yes, perfectly.
Not one to go on a tangent from the tangents that have already appeared, but I hate to speak on topic. Nevertheless, I'll do it.
In my opinion, Foxit isn't as good as it was. PDFXchange (http://www.docu-track.com/home/prod_user/PDF-XChange_Tools/pdfx_viewer) viewer is better :)

We use that at work - being able annotate PDFs is very handy for us. It is quite speedy as well!

DOH!!!!!!!!!!! thats threw a spanner in hasnt it    ;) I always found Foxit to be good well compared to when I was using Acrobat which I seemed to start getting bother with, hence the switch.
I'll have to take a look at this new one now then ::) :)
whats it like
I'll tell you later, Baz. :)
I like it, Steve, it feels much snappier and more professional. :karma:
:iagree:
Foxit has now been uninstalled! :karmic:
Am trying it today. seems ok fast, clean looking. I like the preview option when you open a file.
It's got a lot going for it, hasn't it, Baz. :)
looks good yeah. might keep Foxit for a while see how it goes.Noticed in the files downloaded that theres a 'Shell Extensions Setup.exe' file.whats that and does it need to be installed
Not sure to be honest, Baz. I've not run it yet and will hang on for a while. As it all seems to be working fine I guess I'll leave it!
Me neither, there seemed to be no reference to it, but the pdf extension is tied in, which is all that most people will need.
well i checked for updates and it needed to update the updater then after the updates the Shell Extensions must have installed as there is now an entry in my start menu with an 'uninstall' link and thats all. dont know what it does or whether to leave it or not.
any one point me to some PDF files to try it out.Have a few on my machine but nothing special

No idea Baz, I just searched for free ebooks, sorry.
Where are you seeing the numbers, Baz. I just did a quick check and didn't see any in my selection, just a file size.
Apropos nothing at all, Foxit now has its own eBook.

Someone, somewhere will want one.
