Title: fun fun
Post by: somanyholes on May 13, 2009, 09:55:48
You might be interested to know that the american smart card roll out will be happening in the not to distant future and that security pro's haven't been allowed to test the devices. They operate as a mesh network, so... if someone hacks one of them they could propogate bad code through millions of homes.... power on... power off, fun to come that's for sure.

Deep joy. I think I'm beginning to fear hacks more than bombs. :(

Come to where I work, it's a bomb free zone. We only have fire drills, never in 7 years have they tested the evacuation procedure if there is a bomb, or a blocked fire escape due to fire, all their muster points are inside the building bounderies. I mentioned this to the safety officer and got a reply of 'it's company policy'!

I struggle to remember a fire drill.
