Title: changing account holder
Post by: g7pkf on May 13, 2009, 09:40:32
How easy is it to change account holder on the phone package?

may need to do this sooner rather than later.

I'm guessing a quick call to support would have it sorted but if the direct debit details need changing they will probably want to speak to the person whos account it will now be taken from.

Right scenario   and just that.

account holder no longer avalible.    :'(

broadband phone whatever. (mainly phone) broadband and another phone are on a seperate line.

member of family wants to take over  phone service, NO CHANGE TO DD DETAILS same account sort code etc. (joint account that will be set to single account holder name)

1 change to initial of account.  eg:-    F C Blogs   to D C Blogs

just trying to help someone out here, family member will not be with us shortly (longly if that is a word) . mentioning this sort of thing is upsetting (to all in household/family) i  am trying to be a realist. but sensative at the same time.

and do not want to raise a support call for it as i do not want it actioned.

I know support read this forum can they please PM me with if this sort of change wil/wouldl be a problem? and what the procedure is here.

I am raising this here more for others to be aware if the account holder is no longer avalible what happens/what is the procedure to get the account transferred?

Rik i have no objection to you making this a sticky once we have a definitive answer.

It comes to us all.

Sorry to hear of the scenario, Dean.  I'm sure IDNet will read the thread, and deal with this sympathetically.

I am not sure.

I am positive if the previous support is anything to go by.

I have discussed this scenario with IDNet, Dean, as part of my own planning. I am sure it can be resolved. I am sorry to hear of your situation, though. :(
