Title: curious re re-syncing
Post by: krysia on May 12, 2009, 12:14:13
I used to turn my computer and router off at night but since there were some connection issues some months ago I've left the router on all the time.  My PPP connection has been rock solid ever since (95 days now), but I've noticed that ADSL has re-synced about 3 times, the last time yesterday.  I'm curious about why it does so, as the speed never changes, staying at the maximum downstream speed of 8128000.

It's not a problem in any way - I just wondered why it does it.

I think the router is mis-reporting. It is not possible to maintain PPP but lose sync (the opposite is possible though). :)

Thanks, Lance - I thought it was peculiar too!
