...or even IE. when opening favourites or bookmarks in FF, if you have a folder with lots of bookmarks in is there a way of selecting more than one to open instead of clicking the one you want, going back into faves clicking the next etc. yes FF has 'Open all in tabs' but what if you have multiple bookmarks and just want a selection of them open.
AFAIK, it's all or select individually, Baz.
I have a number of websites that I visit daily so I opened them in tabs and then Tools > Options > Main > Use current pages. Now when I open Firefox it automatically opens all of them at once.
Not exactly what you want I know, but might be usefull to someone.
Nice trick, Vit, never spotted that. :karmic:
hmmm thought so. have to struggle on I 'spose
yeah nice one Vit
I just use Fast Dial to display my most visited sites https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5721
Opera comes to Firefox. :)
Baz, in Firefox, download Tab mix plus. Go to Tools / Tab mix plus options. click on session at the top and uncheck "use firefox's built in session restore feature".
Open a set of tabs / bookmarks you want to keep.
Go to Tools / session manager, click on "save this window" Give it a name and then save session.
Do the same for any other set of tabs you require.
Then its just, Tools / session manager and select any set of saved tabs.
What I do is just right-click on each bookmark I want to open and select open in new tab. :)

I have Tab mix plus Ted but only ever used that session restore if its crashed. will look at that again thanks :thumb: whats the difference between the built in session restore and one you make yourself, do you still need the tick back in the 'built in' one.
Sebby, center click opens in new tab for me

No need to use the built in one as TMP takes over that function. you can save customized sets of tabs say, Hobbies, Forums, News etc or a mix, and switch between these with a click or two, i like it.
This is what Fast Dial looks like, if it is any help
