Title: I like this
Post by: D-Dan on Apr 25, 2009, 22:12:42
Downloading the Ubuntu 9.04 image to start a clean install, and I just saw a D/L speed of >800KB/s for the first time ever :)

I like this, as the title says :smug:

Very - The whole download (697 Meg) in around 10 minutes done. I remember the old days (with the old Napster) when on a good day you may get a tune while you watched an episode of Red Dwarf.

Why do we still complain?

Nice! Was it a torrent by any chance?

Not a torrent - I was downloading directly from canonical, which makes the peak even more surprising.

The average D/L speed was a piddling 710 kB/s though ;)

Amazing, especially given that it wasn't from a torrent. :)
