Title: Router
Post by: psp83 on Apr 01, 2009, 08:22:32
I'm using the netgear from idnet, wireless, version 3 one (forgot the name)

Just lately the noise reading wont move from 0db. its just stuck, no matter what time you check it.

I've not upgraded anything or done anything, i'm not loosing connection either.

Think its time to get a new one before more problems happen? If so, what one?

2wires dont like my line and everytime i plug one in it goes mental!

If it's a Netgear, and it's holding the line I wouldn't worry too much, Paul (I take it you've re-booted?). If you do go for a new one, I'd suggest either the latest DG834 or the Speedtouch 585 v6.

In that case, I'd probably be getting a new one myself.

Check the firmware version - Netgear supposedly fixed this issue (largely to do with the AR7 chipset).
