Title: Skype and bandwidth allowance
Post by: Monk on Mar 25, 2009, 19:05:04
Can someone please tell me if making video calls and phone calls over the internet will count towards my internet usage limit?  I'm thinking of downloading Skype but since I'm on the Home Lite deal with ID Net, I was wondering how much over my monthly allowance am I likely to go. Any answers will be appreciated.  ???

Yes it will count towards your monthly usage, but I can't tell you how much over your limit you would go as it depends on your usage over the month.

It's worth remembering that only half the call will count towards your allowance, ie the incoming half. Your side of the conversation/video is 'free'.
