Has e-mail gone South again?
There seems to be about 30 minutes delay.
It is more than a delay Rik: I am getting time outs on all my 3 e-mail accounts. Everything was fine about 30 minutes ago.
None of my accounts are timing out, but an email I set to an external account 10 minutes ago has yet to arrive.
No timeouts here either.
My timeout issue seems to have resolved itself - however, test messages that I sent out to all 3 of my e-mail accounts have yet to bounce back.
As I say, I'm seeing 30 minute delays, have been all afternoon, I did let support know.
My test mail took 50 minutes to arrive.
I'm wondering if there is going to be more server resource required if this becomes a more regular occurence.
It makes me laugh when email goes down.. *everybody* sends test mails to themselves and clogs the system up even more
I guess it's a natural reaction, a bit like when we press the buttons harder on the TV remote, when the batteries are running out. ;D
I didn't, I promise. :)
Apparently, there was a shed load of spam hitting the servers from ~18:30-20:00 yesterday.

Yes, Rik, I've noticed an increase in the amount of spam I've been receiving over the last 10 days or so, I was only seeing about one a week prior to that.
It seems to be an ever-growing problem, Ray. Relatively few get through, but it makes you wonder how much email traffic is clogging up the 'net now.
I only see 1 or 2 a week, and no I don't want yours Ray or anyone else

I guess the same could be said of the postal network, although not to the same extent as junk email, I wouldn't have thought.
Plus, they get paid to deliver it.
And i use it to light the fire ;D
More Delays now about 42 Min....

This might help Idnet solve these email problems ? Or is it another Spam attack ??
It's probably worth letting them know, Rich. :)
Just checked another just now and that was fine. Only 3 seconds ! :thumb:
Before I had two emails both with similar delays of about 42 mins ??? :dunno:
Just glad its working now.........
42 minutes is what I was logging when I called support around 1.
