For any one using Vista and using the "clip" facility, you cna use it in the command line/box also.
To list a directory
Dir | clip
You can then copy it to a file for printing etc
Or you can use the Clip utility to copy the results of the Ipconfig command:
Ipconfig /all | clip
You can use also use the Clip utility along with the redirection symbol to copy the entire contents of a text file to clipboard:
Clip < Readme.txt
You cna also use it for pings
ping bbc.co.uk | clip
etc etc
Very handy little built in utility. :thumb:
Thanks, Alf. :thumb:
Being lazy then, what does clip actually do? Does it just automatically copy the output to clipboard?
Sounds useful :thumb:

Yup it does exactly that copies it to the clipboard for further use any way you like.
I keep the Vista Snipping Tool in the taskbar and find it very useful. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/148532-how-use-snipping-tool-vista.html
Sorry! ;D
