Title: Fault or interference?
Post by: Rik on Mar 05, 2009, 19:00:54
The past couple of days, my notebook has been frequently dropping and reconnecting the wireless connection. The 2700 was on auto for channel, so I've tried a manual 11 and 1, and both of these seem to overcome the problem.

There's now half a dozen networks around me, so I'm suspecting it's just interference, but is there any way to test?

Sounds like interference from another router, if it works on 1 or 11 then leave it there.

Certainly sounds like interference, Rik. It's strange how these things happen for no apparent reason, but if channel 1 or 11 works, use one of those. :)
