I left Idnet in January but today have started receiving invoive emails from them every 5 minutes or so, going back to 2007.
Anyone else having this problem?
No. I suggest you phone them - 0800 0267237.
Yes, I am having this problem as well. I think they finished breaking the network a couple of weeks ago, so they've started on the billing system now. ::)
At least they're not actually trying to retake the money again! ;D
Same here. I've got ones from 2007 for broadband service at my previous address. Hope they'll reassure me that money won't be taken.
Yup, I've had 25 invoices so far.
No answer when I tried phoning but I left a message half an hour ago - they have not got back to me yet.
Edit: Got a nice explanatory call just after posting this
Ah, so its not just me then.
Seems to me that (if IDNet debit everybody this month for Oct/Nov 2007 as well as March 2009) they're going to suddenly find they've lost a lot of subscribers ...

What did they say?
I'm so glad I left Idnet back in January ;D
I've just received 3 old invoices too? ???
An error meant that already paid invoices were re-sent. As soon as IDNet were aware of it, they stopped the mail server to clear the queue, which has lead to the complaints about mail being down.
Our billing system was working just fine so we decided to improve it! That caused it to send copies of old invoices. The invoices in question have all been paid already so will not go forward for collection again.
Please disregard them and apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks, Simon. :)
Simon, if it ain't broke... ;)
Improve it ;D
God! Have these people ever heard of "Testing" on a non-live system!
Well, let's keep things in prospective. Some emails were sent out in error. 2-3 minutes email downtime was required to fix the issue. Nobody died. :)
yea but what if some ones email was in the email Que they just killed now that creates unhappy customers
I assume that they have that covered, Colin.
LOL.. I just assumed that they were clearing out their old cupboards.. all the invoices say PAID on them so it was obvious that it was an error. Let's not over react, people.

They removed only the internal, wrongly generated, emails from the queue. No mail was lost from customers accounts.
Yeah, as errors go, it was pretty harmless. No big deal; more amusing than anything else.
It's nice to get emails..................from anyone. I lead such a sad life. ;D
Give me your email addy, Alf, and I'll give you a mountain of spam. ;D
