Title: Browser annoyances
Post by: Ray on Feb 22, 2009, 09:47:43
I normally use my web browser in windowed mode, something that I find really irritating with some web sites is when you navigate to the site it switches your browser to full screen and then when you close the page it doesn't restore your browser window to it's previous size, does anyone else find this annoying?  :shake:

I don't think I've ever come across a website that resizes the browser window, Ray, but it might be worth noting that Windows 'remembers' the size of the last browser window closed, so if you had a smaller window underneath the full screen one, and closed the full screen one first, and the smaller window last, it should reopen the browser to the size of the smaller window.  I think.  :)

Check Noreen's 'pilots' link, Simon. Yes, it annoys the hell out of me, Ray. :)

I did, and it didn't, but there's an option in SeaMonkey, which should also be there in Firefox, to allow websites to resize browser windows, which I have unticked.
