Yes but I don't think we should count Orange users ;)
:hehe:
I like the idea of the boost button but not at £1 for 30 mins!
I don't know, Lance. From 32Mbps, I'd only see using it occasionally, so it wouldn't be too bad a price.
The real downside is that, you have to live in Wembley. *shudder*
Think i'll stay where i am and wait for 21cn, that'll do me. ;D
Wembley was OK, once. :)
 "cue the music" Dont get around much anymore ;D
This is true. :)
I think its a good thing really I cant think why you would need this speed ?
It depends on how much you download, David, if you want to watch TV via the 'net, for example, it's ideal.
Oh Ok , I come on to get away from the TV
A lot of people seem to like to watch Tv online, David. I really don't understand why but...
:dunno: Mad if you ask me,I can understand it for games perhaps, but to watch TV ? Im amazed still wahtever sails your boat I guess :dunno:
I'm with you, David, there are perfectly adequate systems for TV transmission and recording, so why use precious bandwidth...
The only good thing is iplayer when you don't have any other means of recording from a normal tv stream.
Sky+ works well for me. ;)
There was a rumour that BT (bless em) was throttling broadband service, so those with the TV package could have the tap on full, in order to watch telly on the net  They (ISP's) should sort out the service for ALL users before offering tosh :thumb:

Me as well, and my laptop has freeview built in so thats a bonus but as David said i get online to avoid TV unless its to watch the iplayer or a similar service to catch up upon that I have not got in my sky planner, since clashes do occur its can be useful. :)
If they want TV on their PC/laptop invest in SlingBox, a one off payment, allows TV on any/all PC's/Laptops in the house and uses zero bandwidth. :thumb:
Re above post.
An added advantage of 'SlingBox' is there is no need to pay £10.00 ( X by No of rooms) per month for Sky's extra boxes. Slingbox is a great way to get all channels (Sky) in every room in the house (via wireless laptop/PC).
Slingbox can save you a fortune.
I watch iPlayer as it's legal without a TV licence :P
Back when I had a TV licence (old flat) I used my digital tuner. With MythTV, it worked really well on my computer (my HD monitor is bigger and better than my TV :P).
I am considering getting Sky in the future. I have a Sky+ box already, so that's one thing I don't have to fork out for again (I got it for £49 on one of their offers). It's not worth it at the moment though, as the only TV programmes I want to watch are QI, Have I Got News For You and Doctor Who, all three of which I can get on iPlayer if I want them. The cost of Sky on top of the price of a TV licence isn't worth it for a couple of shows a week.
