Anybody else experiencing problems today ? I have rebooted my router twice but still appear to be getting packet loss :(
Fine here. :dunno:
No problems here either.
FF stopped working for me and only just got back :dunno: seems ok now
No problems here, still pinging <24ms since 10:00.

So the router lost connection?
No red light but seems to have :dunno:
Anything in the log, David?
I will take a look but I think this was local tbh
Dropped again page wont load on here or next door will run a scan just in case but its very erratic :fingers: hope this posts
Something just went down, David, I'm guessing a router at IDNet as access was lost to the forum, Pals, Orange Bikes and the IDNet website.
Just had the same problem, David, I think something fell over for a few minutes.
sport=1231 dport=1434 Unknown inbound session stopped
<data removed - IP address showing - Rik>
Does this show anything ?
No, that's just normal firewall activity, David.
Routers open is there anything you need or want to check ?
No, I think you've just seen the same effects as us, David. Until I can get an explanation, my best bet is that an IDNet router fell over and cut off part of the web, including the forum.

No problems there, David. :)
I have found Speedguide TCPOptimizer (http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php) really useful in setting MTU RWIN etc. for target site of choice. We tend to tune for download speed, but when congestion arises and pings go out, adjusting to eliminate loss might benefit.

I had mail issues with pop3.idnet.com using Windows Live Mail (a couple of the 60 second time out messages) and a noticeable slowing of page access/refreshing with IE7 at about the same time as David but here in Stafford so it was not confined to David's local area.
I can see nothing that strikes me as relevant in either the Event Log or the Detailed Log of my 2700 Router. :dunno:
I'm fairly sure it was a router problem at IDNet, Les. I haven't been able to confirm that yet, but based on last time it happened and the symptoms, that's my gut feeling.

Nothing there to cause any problems. :( I think you need to talk to IDNet, unfortunately.

Glenn was seeing signs of imbalance again, perhaps you've been affected? :(
I checked with Simon and no known issues ... see how it fairs over the coming week ...
Just to add all has been superb until the new capacity went in ... Heres hoping the gremlins are squashed ;)
You've achieved more than me. :)
