If anyone knows of a better one please say but this indeed does look useful
http://ubcd.sourceforge.net/
I think that's a good one its often mentioned.
Perhaps we can have a dedicated thread purely for useful / must have tools? Links to the software only with no discussion? Would be a helpful index of tools for me certainly
We could open up 'Tools for speeding up a PC' to a wider range, Sam. Preventing discussion might be a different matter though.
haha true looking at the nature of all idnetters threads :P
Unless you are willing to add any relevant ones into a locked thread if deemed worthy?
That would be the only way, Sam. A locked reference thread and an open discussion thread.
Like the announcements kinda thing
Up to you / admins entirely as you would have the workload >:D
Well off to go sledging - wish me a soft ground and a safe ride :thumb:
Be careful, Sam, take a good look at the terrain.
I prefer this http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd
I notice McAfee rates that site as amber, Glenn.
I don't download it from there
Ah. :)
One of many download sites http://soft.softoogle.com/ap/hiren-s-bootcd-download-6916.shtml
Thanks, Glenn. :thumb:
Even better thanks :)
Well I got back safe, went down the hill on a piece of floor vinyl
The "wood" side dont half fly
Glad you had fun, Sam. I was just talking to Tim and he was in the mood for a bit of sledging. :)
The "problem" with Hiren's excellent CD is that not all of the software on it is freeware/shareware and a number of software suppliers have complained about the inclusion of their utilities on his disk.
This version of a UBCD is "better" in that all the software on it is there legally.
Both really useful though.
