Hi,
Just got and set up a new comp with Vista system. Have my old wired modem speedtouch 330 which I still use with laptop(Win XP).
Question is - can I use tis modem with Vista? So far installation of the driver from CD did not work.
Had a look on http://www.speedtouch.co.uk/330.asp and there are some "updates", one has word vista in it so I suppose that is the one to use(?) .
Not sure if it would work in practice though and I do not want to do something that may need "undoing" :no:.

I know there are more up to date options for connecting to the internet and I will research them soon but for now would be happy to use what I got if its possible. Any advice appreciated :-\

for the drivers, Stephanie. Set a restore point before installing them and then you can roll back easily if you need to. In the longer term, a router would be a better bet for you.

What a speedy reply - thanks.

Used the download from the link you gave (meaning - got it ready to run), now I will have to learn about restore point and how to set it :blush: never done it before and with the new comp....not much clue :((I know I was lucky so far not to have to use it on any of old comps!!!).

I'm not a Vista person, Stephanie, so I'm not sure how you set sysrestore in that, but try this:

Vista creates a restore point automatically before installing software of drivers. :thumb:
