Title: MAC address
Post by: Baz on Jan 22, 2009, 16:22:04
how do I find the MAC address on the laptops. I have them set up in the router as recognised devices but it just shows as 'Unknown'. every so often one or the other is dropping connection and I dont know which one to check in the settings. I was going to add them manually and give them a name.

Make sure the laptop which keeps dropping connection has the latest drivers. You may not be downloading them by default from MS update.

Sometimes you'll get it through Windows Update (it'll show as optional though, so you'll have to select it manually). If not, you'll need to go to the manufacturer's website (often Intel).
