Title: 1and1 webhosting issue?
Post by: scook94 on Jan 18, 2009, 20:45:35
I know some of you use 1and1 for email, but I'm wondering if anyone else uses them for hosting?

If so, is your site working okay? I keep getting a 403 error on mine and I'm not sure if it's a 1and1 problem or a problem with my billing (although I've not received and email about billing)?

Mine is working fine, Steven (link as per my profile). It sounds like a permissions problem - login to your control panel and have a look at the destination for your domain, and then check the permissions for that folder.

I've had no problems with 1&1 since I started using them for hosting - and everything remains fine here.

Thanks for the replies. I mailed support and was told it was a server issue at their end. It's all back up now. Was just a bit concerned as I'm due to renew my hosting for the next 6 months and I thought there might have been an issue with the billing. All's well that ends well...
