Title: Advice on how to prevent someone accessing your hard drive

I've always been a fan of the smithereens method myself. :)

I strip drive down to reveal the platter.
Destroy platter with rotating wire brush on drill.
Job done in minutes.

If I'm not mistaken, there will be some really good magnets in there as well :thumb:

I vote for dunked in water and then smithereens, as Rik said, also its very satisfying  ;D
