Title: Anyone want a 1TB SD card?
Post by: Rik on Jan 07, 2009, 17:08:05
It appears that they are on the way, according to El Reg (http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2009/01/07/ces_shxc_format_launched/). I must confess I don't see an immediate use for them, except maybe for professional broadcasters or 'machine on a postage stamp' kind of stuff - but then there was a time when I thought a 1Gb card was big. :)

Depends on the price, I guess, Glenn. Probably pick them up for a fiver in a couple of years time. ;)

If it's fast enough, it will be great for storing stuff on the fanless PCs
