Same here, Paul. :dunno:
same for me ::)
Disconnected router turned to red, still cant get on via desktop ???
Yup, same for me.
I have to say that with Pipex I didn't get regular disconnections like this - but when they did occasionally disconnect, they were down for hours rather than minutes... hard to say which is more annoying.
But OTOH at least my speeds with IDNet are 10x faster (yes) and they give you someone to complain to ;D
Back on line ??? :( what was that all about ?
It was about 2 minutes, David. :)
More than 2 mins here Simon,I rebooted twice and when that didnt cure it I unplugged router. :dunno:
Oh right, well I just left well alone, and by the time I'd made a cup of tea, it was back on again.
I've noticed one or two websites being quite slow, Next in particular, but I put it down to extra traffic with the sales.
;D I took a valium and let the tea go cold ;) ;D
It's probably BT messing around, or at least that's what they usually find the cause to be. We'll see when the IDNet guys return. :)
Night guys :thumb:

I expect it will have been forgotten by then! ;)
Nothing gets forgotten here. :P
yep had some too about 10.00pm ish and some during the day but dont have any times
thought mine was just down to me setting up new laptops but it seems not :dunno:
FWIW - I'm not on iDNet - something similar happened to me with my Demon connection around tea time yesterday. I don't think the line dropped, but PPP must have gone down.
No down time recorded here. The last couple of times this has happened was when BT were doing maintenance on one of the centrals and when there was an outage at the Ilford data centre (or whatever it's name properly is...).
I'll see if I can get any info.
Is there anybody there? :dunno:

Looks like the Netgear is still in BST, Paul.

Who are you looking for, Bob?
Just an answer Rik, seems a lot of the web is on a go slow or down, strange thing my speed has almost doubled
I'm seeing pretty much normal speeds, Bob, except from 'sales' sites, which were going slow from the outset.
Have you done a BT speed test?

BT speed test never seems to work for me ,but I will try again.
If you can't get to BT, can you try the ThinkBroadband one, and let me know the results plus your sync speed, attenuation and noise margin?
And I thought it was just me :P I also had the drop last night, but it came back on after a few minutes so wasn't bothered.
Given the geographic spread, Danni, I'm betting central or a switch at IDNet. I'll try to find out.
No BT as usual, gets as far as the testing please wait, after 10 mins I usually give up. Not to worry Rik, I'm not complaining, makes a change for things to load so quick. Just concerned that there seemed to be nobody but me accessing the forum and since I could not get the IDNET site I thought there was a major problem somewhere.
Have you tried the IDNet site lately, Bob? It's working fine for me.

Yep tried it 30 min ago, all seems fine now :thumb:
Im ok now...keep getting test error name login,to be honest its been so long since I used this test I cant recall what Im supposed to enter to carry out the test...phone no...I can rememeber this  now what follows this...No I know you dont know my login details but what is it asking for instance does it end in gw5 in my case of course ???
It will be [username]@idnet.gw5, David. :)
I'm not 100% sure, David, but I think it's <username>@idnet.gw5. Perhaps someone on GW5 could confirm that.
As Simon just has. :)
;D silly me ;D :thnks: Simon (http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll298/badpianoplayer/chucklebrothers-2.jpg)
God, I hate those two!

Seconded, needed a stiff whiskey to recover.
The Chuckle Brothers. ;)
Yes. :)
Ah, I lead a sheltered life - thankfully. ;D
I just had an outage at 14:10, lasted a couple of minutes...
Nothing here. Must be working it's way round the country. ;)
Or was a local burst of noise...
Perhaps you should get off that commode? :)x
 :karmic:
That would help. :)x

pfft, not bothered about that :P
only changes again in march :rant2:
You've got three months to go. :)
The outage on Friday night was due to IDNet implementing IPv6 across the network. Apparently, Simon doesn't stop even on Boxing Day. :)

I bet that's popular at home :nono:
I did suggest he should turn off his computer. :)
I appear to be down again.
Nothing in my logs here, Esh, so if you still have problems, give IDNet a ring.
