Title: This can't be coincidence
Post by: john on Dec 05, 2008, 22:07:11
This can't be coincidental but earlier this evening I noticed that my recently installed new bath has got a chip in it. So I did a search on the internet to see if there are any products that can be used to repair it.

Much later on I was on another web page that has an advert on it and there was the same company I'd seen earlier on the internet advertising the bath repair kit.

It's too coincidental that such an obscure product and company should appear on the advert so I was wondering what in my browser are responsible for causing this, probably cookies I was going to delete them to test it but when I went back in again first it has either different on no adverts.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar ?

Possibly tracking cookies, John, and some expire quicker than others, or maybe your browser is set to clear cookies on exit?

Could be Simon, I was surprised as it's not something I've noticed before, mind you I rarely notice the adverts anyway.

When we were home sitting, I Googled around the competition, and went to look at one of the company sites. Google managed to put an ad on there for yet another home sitting company - I'm sure the owners would have been thrilled to know that. :)
