I've been trying to get Firefox to remember a default zoom level for ages. I'm forever changing zoom levels depending on what websites I'm visiting and to be honest forever using CTRL and + - keys to change zoom levels is a chore.
Enter No Squint (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592)
You can set a default zoom level and adjust on a per website basis. Best of all it remembers the zoom levels \o/
Nice little extension.
Nice find, Vit. :thumb: :karma:
another :karmic: for Vit, yet another Addon that's worth having.
Does anyone know if there is a maximum number of addons you can install ?
I've never seen one mooted, Alan, but I suspect your reach unworkability before you reach capacity.

I am getting there, I am sure
;D
Let us know when you hit the buffers. :)
Surely a better idea is to get a new monitor, like an Eizo. ;) :out:

Better be quick - there'll be no more mortgages available soon!

You're catching on, Seb, I'm
proud of you. :thumb:
Defeats the purpose of having a laptop though, having a great hulking monitor plugged into it.
Not really, it just gives you the best of borth worlds. ;)
I agree. If I was to get another notebook for everyday use, I'd still have a separate monitor.
Shame that most notebooks only have an analogue output. :(
Mine has hdmi and i used it tonight to watch something on bbc iplayer through my tv!
How was the quality?
Obviously not as good at normal broadcast, but still easily watchable with sufficient detail . I used the online layer with the higher quality selected. I think the downloaded version is of a higher quality but I didn't want that on my machine!
That I can understand. :)
I've watched iPlayer over HDMI and the quality is good. As Lance says, the quality of the downloaded iPlayer clips is better. Sky Player is great quality. ITV Catchup is terrible!
So are the programmes, though, Sebby. :)
Except Coronation Street, of course. ;)
That's a matter of opinion. ;)

Have a look through these links, should give a few ideas ;D

The second link started in 2006 but was still running a little while ago. Only problem is that not all of the add-ons mentioned are compatible with FF3. I have 10 installed but only 8 are active at present.

So I have a while to go yet, only 25 extension running at the moment
If you add Mr Tech's Toolkit (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/421) tp your extensions then you can disable compatibility checking and you find virtually all extensions still work perfectly.
I had a go watching the BBC iplayer via my PS3 the quality was not bad considering the TV was set to a dedicated game mode and was via wifi, the beta for the PS3 worked quite well on it.
