Title: Missing file
Post by: Den on Oct 20, 2008, 13:32:47
Every so often I get the message       Application failed to start  missing file    connapi.dll    and in the box above it refers to   APDproxy.exe   any idea what this is or how I can find out?  :-\

I think it's caused by Adobe Photoshop Elements looking for a Nokia software file at start up.

Have a read of this page for a possible fix: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb403011&sliceId=2

[EDIT] Which is exactly what kinmel posted a minute earlier!

[EDIT 2 (son of EDIT!)] I know this fix works because my daughter was getting the same error on her PC. However I would read through the fix carefully as we had to reinstall Elements to overcome a functionality issue.
