AVG released a update that tagged Zonealarm as a trojan, some may think this apt but it caused some chaos I imagine, of course some could say the same about AVG in this case  http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/10/16/avg_zonealarm_trojan_false_alarm/
 You get what you pay for. ;)
;D It didn't manage to track down Comodo. ;D
Now if it had said Windows... ;D
I thought ZoneAlarm was a trojan, a bit like Norton.
:hehe:
Me to Seb... I dumped ZA yonks ago. ;)
I liked it in the early days, but as well as believing it's not necessary for most users these days, I think it's seriously bloated now.
Agreed Seb.. ;)
Software manufacturers are like politicians - they like to tell us what's good for us. :(
So true, Rik. :(
Norton: "You need us to put lots of branding all over Windows!"
;D
It used to just be ISPs that did that. :sigh:
I remember the days. My first ever ISP, GlobalNet, did it.
Then Kelly's Korner rode to the rescue... :)
Lots of useful tips/links there Rik, I use it a work on occasions
It's a great site, Glenn, if you can find the fix you want - layout has never been its strongpoint. :)
Yep, still going strong today. :o :)

Yes, the best way I find to navigate it by using Ctrl+F and search for words.
The problem is knowing the words. ;)
Indeed. :)

That's so old-fashioned... I just start typing and the search begins (thanks, Firefox!). ;D

Some while ago an admin responsible for a rather heavily used website and forum I operate took it upon himself to upload some extra security to the web host in the form of ZoneAlarm. Up it went, in went the installation and boom! All admins and users instantly and permanently locked out of the site because ZA installs with all ports closed.
I never let him live that one down ;D
I bet. ;D
Never trust a Forum Admin! ;D
:admin:
