Post by: Baz on Oct 10, 2008, 14:09:05
I joined IDNet on 15th Aug 2008 and was just checking my payment details and saw I have a payment taken on 2nd Sep and another on 15th Sep both for the same price with the next one due on 13th Oct.how does that work

come to think of it I also had a reference from someone, doesnt that qualify for a discount??

We can't discuss personal accounts on here, for obvious reasons, Baz, but I suggest you contact IDNet about the discrepancies.

I'm guessing the August/September payment was taken on September 2, Baz, with the September/October on September 15, and the October/November on October 15, but as Simon says, you need to talk to Simon at IDNet.

Hi Baz

Rik is right. Our charges are for the month coming, in-advance. But, as the BACS rules say that we have to give you two weeks' notice, the first payment couldn't be collected until 2nd Sep. Thereafter, payments will collected on or near to your billing day which, in your case, would be the 15th of the month.

Regards
Simon

You'll still need to talk to IDNet about the referral, Baz.

You could say Simon referred me but I didn't know there was a referral system.

You should have said to me Simon.  You're not usually slow at coming forward.  ;)

Do you think it's too late.?

Forum staff don't participate in the referral scheme, Lona, and if anyone does name a staff member as a referrer, we ask IDNet to put our share in the charity box.  There was no reason why you shouldn't have got your bit of it, though, but I guess it's a bit late now.  You did get your free month, if I recall correctly.  ;)

Can't remember if I got a free month or not Simon.  I don't think you were a mod when I joined but I'm in the early stages of senility so maybe we both lost out.  ;D

If i refer people i put the money in my pocket!!

JOKE

in reality it goes into a fund the routers project, i now have 15 adsl routers some i have bought some of freecycle.

I also have several different faceplates, ADSL-NATION etc etc

wife says i am not allowed to buy anymore bit's, at least not until the funds are there from "favours" i do people like referrals.

Oh and currently the router i recommend is CISCO router with an adsl module (not linksys) and if you do not have a spare £250-£500 a 2700 of fleabay is a very good bet.

(yse i still lurk Rik)

All finished just kitting out the workshop now.

and then have to re-decorate the house.

wouldnt do any decoration until the building work was finished due to dust and mess etc.
