Title: IDNet email down/delayed?
Post by: Dopamine on Sep 13, 2008, 11:57:39
Is anyone having problems with receiving emails to idnet.com addresses?

I have an idnet.com address as a back-up, and all emails to it from domains other than idnet are not arriving and/or are delayed and have not arrived yet.

No problems here, I've had about 100 so far this morning. I'll do some test mails though...

I just sent one mail from my domain to an idnet.com address and one from an idnet.com address to another idnet.com address. Both were received almost instantly.

Thanks. Mine are starting to come in now, most with delays of around 15 minutes. Hopefully it was a temporary glitch.

NP. :) I haven't seen any delays since I came online, about three hours ago. Is there any chance that this could be the greylist servers at work?

It's possible, but the headers for all affected emails show the from domains as being auto-whitelisted. It could be because the idnet.com address I'm using hasn't been used for a week or two, but who knows?

It's the one possibility I can think of. I'm still getting quite large quantities with no discernible delay. If it is the greylist servers, some of the delay will be dependent on how long the sending server waits to retry.

No problems here, either. I suspect it's the greylisting, but could be any other glitch that computers are well known for. :)
