Hey guys
I just found out Viking Direct offer 30 day trial with all chairs, if u dont like send it back and get a full refund (no stocking fee)
So its ideal, pretty cheap and large range. Im looking at either -

They seemed the best in the range sub £200
Not sure which is worth it tho
It's difficult to see what the differences are from the information provided, Sam. :(
indeed - to me they all look extremely similiar
perhaps i can go for cheapest, try it out and upgrade to the next one if needed..
i may email and ask for listed differences
Take a look here Sam, real leather at half that price;

I'd certainly be inclined to start at the bottom and work up, so to speak. :) Aldi are doing a leather chair next week too, I don't know if that would be worth a look?

Or what In said. ;D
lol thanks guys
i dont really get on with chairs in which the back does not move on its own accord (when the button pressed that is...it would just be scary if it moved on its own!)
I am definately goin to aim for the cheap one :P
Do the Viking prices include VAT, Sam?
Yes - on the personal site which shud be what i linked to (3rd one bein most expensive at £180 and cheapest (1st) at £118 iirc)

Great minds again.... ;D
Looks like good value to me Rik., oh and of course you have 28 days to take it back for a full refund, so plenty of time to test it.
Mind you, you usually can't disassemble these things once they been sat in. :)
No problem, it's got wheels .. ;D
Just remember to unlock them. ;)
Good point, I didn't realise it had brakes.. ;)

Rubbish chair, imo, having tried one. Ideally, you need to be about 5' to use it, otherwise the headrest is pushing into your back, making you lean forward. I found it had no lumbar support as a result. At 5'2", Sue finds it adequate, but that's as far as she would go.
Fair comment Rik, probably sourced from China then.. ;)
I think so. It would be great for kids, I guess.
our chair came from Viking and we got it for £35. The annoying thing is, nicky's dad did the accounts for them one year and they only cost viking $3.50 from China. I think it was the Malaga model we got and it is quite good for the money.
Now that kind of profit margin is really taking the Michael. :shake:
If you're not too far from one it might be worth taking a trip to Ikea. They do some quite reasonable office chairs at not bad prices :)

Cheers,
Paul.
I think we would all be somewhat amazed at just how little retailers pay for imported stuff from China and India. :eek4:
I wonder how China can produce the goods at those sorts of prices though - it doesn't appear to even meet the costs of the raw materials.
Indeed Rik, I suspect that on many occasions it doesn't.
Part of a cunning plan, you mean. :)
My theory is it is all about foreign currency Rik.
Whatever, it seems to be working for them. ;)
I'm sure you're right, In. I just wonder whether it goes further, and they have a long-term strategy of pulling in manufacture from around the world at prices that can't be beaten. Once they've achieved that, they create a dependency which makes them very powerful. A bit similar to the Russian model with gas.
You could very well be right Rik, it is certainly heading that way, there is clearly a bigger picture than the short term one.
Wery crever .. ;)
... and worrying. :(
